Primary Network Solutions
IHP offers payors access to a national network of credentialed providers for use by their injured workers. The network consists of approximately 4,200 hospitals, 455,000 specialists and 173,000 ancillary providers. Where appropriate, payors may direct members to in-network providers through use of worksite/panel postings and care management programs. IHP participating providers deliver significant discounts below fee schedule/UCR to IHP payor clients. As needed, IHP works with payor clients to set-up specialized electronic directories to optimize in-network usage and can assist with panel development. Other available services related to IHP’s Primary Network Solution include GEO Access mapping, network optimization studies, provider nominations and toll-free provider locator lines.

Secondary Network Solutions
Oftentimes payors utilize local or regional networks as their primary network solution but require a national network for satellite offices or employees traveling outside the coverage area provided by the primary network. IHP offers access to a national network of credentialed providers for the purpose of keeping injured workers in-network.  The IHP Secondary Network consists of approximately 4,200 hospitals, 455,000 specialists and 173,000 ancillary  providers. Case managers may direct injured workers to in-network providers by using IHP’s online provider directory. Other available services related to IHP’s Secondary Network Solution include GEO Access mapping, network optimization studies, provider nominations and toll-free provider locator lines.

Specialty Carve-Out Networks
The IHP network is a national, multi-specialty solution which includes access to specialty providers focused on treating injured workers. These providers include Physical Therapists, Occupational Medicine providers, Chiropractors and many more. Clients can access separate components of the IHP network as Specialty Carve-Out Networks. Reduced access fees also make IHP’s specialized Carve-Out Networks an affordable option for clients focused on containing costs within specific specialties.
